Hyderabad: Gadari Kishore Kumar criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over the Congress government’s 1,000-day rule.
The former Tungaturthi MLA alleged that the government had failed to fulfil its 420 election promises.
Kishore Kumar said public anger against the Revanth Reddy government had begun to grow. He also claimed Revanth Reddy would remain an ineffective Chief Minister in Telangana’s history.
He made the remarks while leading a BRS protest rally in Motkur on Wednesday.
The rally marked 1,000 days of Congress rule in the State.
BRS workers began the procession at the party office. They passed the government hospital, RDO office and Ambedkar crossroads.
The rally then reached the Telangana Thalli main junction. It covered around four kilometres.
Kishore Kumar advised Revanth Reddy to assess his own stature before speaking about former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
He alleged that Congress had deceived voters by failing to fulfil its 420 election promises.
Gadari Kishore Kumar alleges economic mismanagement
Kishore Kumar mocked the government’s functioning during his address.
He said the State appeared to be under a “GM mestri” with a “BM mestri” below him.
He also issued a challenge over allegations of sand mafia activity.
Kishore Kumar said anyone who proved his involvement in a Rs.10 lakh sand mafia during his 10-year tenure as MLA could force him out of politics permanently.
The former MLA also alleged that Nagarjuna Sagar water was being diverted to Andhra Pradesh.
He accused Revanth Reddy of remaining silent over the issue.
Kishore Kumar alleged that a secret understanding between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy had enabled the diversion.
He claimed the arrangement benefited Andhra Pradesh farmers while hurting Telangana farmers.
The former MLA also criticised Revanth Reddy for repeatedly mentioning KCR during meetings on the government’s 1,000-day rule.
He mocked the Chief Minister by saying he should wear a “KCR mala” like the devotional garlands worn by Ayyappa and Hanuman devotees.
Kishore Kumar accused the Congress government of causing economic destruction in Telangana.
He urged Revanth Reddy to focus on implementing election promises instead of protecting his position.
BRS displays 420-metre flex during protest
BRS workers displayed a 420-metre flex during the protest. It highlighted the Congress election promises.
The party also distributed “Congress Baaki Cards” as part of its campaign against the government.
Former Zilla Parishad chairperson Gujja Deepika Yugandhar Rao attended the programme.
State leader Nevuri Dharmender Reddy and municipal chairman Sankepalli Raghunandan Reddy also participated.
Mother Dairy director Racha Lakshminarsimha Reddy joined the protest as well.
BRS leaders and elected representatives attended the rally in large numbers.
Former public representatives also participated in the programme.
Sarpanches, councillors, former sarpanches and former MPTCs joined the protest.
Student and youth wing leaders also took part.
Village unit presidents, social media members and affiliated organisation leaders attended the programme.
Party supporters also participated in the rally.
