Hyderabad: Firefighters on Thursday rescued an eagle that got trapped in a tree near Gate No. 3 of the High Court after it became entangled in hazardous Chinese manja used for kite flying.
Fire department personnel rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and carried out a swift rescue operation. The team safely freed the injured bird without causing further harm.
The rescue was conducted under the supervision of District Fire Officer T. Venkanna and Station Fire Officer (High Court) K. Rajkumar. Officials said the operation required careful handling due to the sharp manja wrapped around the eagle.
The timely action by the firefighters drew appreciation from members of the public present at the site. Officials said the incident once again highlighted the dangers posed by Chinese manja and the fire department’s commitment to protecting both human and animal lives.
