Hyderabad: Revenue officials will begin a farmer-wise physical verification of lands in Survey No. 325 at Erravelli village in Markook mandal of Siddipet district on Monday. The exercise will focus particularly on lands held by Dalit farmers.
The broader land survey around the farmhouse of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is progressing rapidly. However, work on the assigned lands in Survey No. 325 was suspended on Sunday due to the weekly holiday and is scheduled to resume on Monday.
Notices have already been issued to about 100 farmers who hold land in Survey No. 325. They have been asked to bring ownership documents and other supporting evidence to the survey site for verification.
Officials will issue notices to another batch of more than 100 farmers in phases. The move is part of the process to verify individual land holdings after establishing the boundaries of the survey number.
Over the past three days, survey teams have marked the outer boundaries of Survey No. 325. With this work completed, officials will now identify and record the specific holdings of individual farmers.
Physical possession to be verified first
The enjoyment survey will first establish who is physically occupying each parcel and whether the land is being cultivated by the concerned farmer. Officials will then formally sub-divide the land units and update the relevant government records.
Revenue authorities have advised all concerned landholders to attend Monday’s field survey. Farmers have also been asked to carry their land documents and other supporting evidence for the verification process.
