Dinesh Chowdary challenges Balmuri Venkat over BRS attack remarks

Hyderabad: BRS leader Dinesh Chowdary criticised Congress MLC Balmuri Venkat over his remarks about attacks on BRS workers. He questioned Venkat over his alleged past attempt to join the BRS.

Chowdary claimed that Congress had denied Venkat a ticket at the time. He asked whether Venkat had then approached BRS working president KTR and requested admission into the party.

The BRS leader challenged Venkat to swear on his parents and deny that he had approached KTR. He questioned how Venkat could seek KTR’s support at one point and later speak about attacks on BRS workers.

Chowdary said the BRS would not take such remarks lightly. He also questioned whether BRS workers lacked the ability to respond to attacks.

Balmuri Venkat remarks draw sharp BRS response

Chowdary said BRS workers were pursuing their fight through democratic means. He warned against treating their approach as weakness.

The BRS leader said Venkat should not underestimate the party’s response while its workers continued their democratic struggle. He also strongly objected to the remarks about attacking BRS workers.

Chowdary reiterated his allegation about Venkat’s earlier interaction with KTR. He challenged the Congress MLC to publicly deny that he had sought entry into the BRS.

The remarks followed Venkat’s comments about attacks on BRS workers. Chowdary responded by questioning Venkat’s position and recalling his alleged earlier approach to KTR.
