Hyderabad: BRS Legislature Party Deputy Leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav described the Dharmendra Pradhan resignation as a victory for democracy, students, youth and crores of people. He congratulated students on behalf of the BRS and said the country was proud of their movement.
Addressing the media on Saturday, Talasani said the scale of the students’ agitation had become evident across the country. He said both the Central and State governments should now act with greater caution.
According to the BRS leader, the Centre could not ignore the protests despite police lathi-charge, attacks and allegations branding students as anti-national. He said the Union government ultimately had to respond to the agitation.

Talasani said BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao and other party leaders had extended support to the students because their demands were justified. He urged political parties to exercise greater responsibility while making election promises and manifesto commitments.
Further, Talasani said the students’ movement had forced the closure of Parliament gates. Moreover, he said the protesters had answered those who criticised them with the slogans “Inquilab Zindabad” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
BRS General Secretary Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and former BC Commission member K. Kishore Goud attended the meeting.
