Deputy tahsildar trainee dies by suicide in Mahabubabad

Hyderabad: A 28-year-old deputy tahsildar trainee died by suicide at her home in Mahabubabad town, prompting police to register a case and begin an investigation. The deceased was identified as Doli Sandhya, daughter of Doli Venkateshwarlu and Padma. She had been undergoing training as a deputy tahsildar in Khammam.

Sandhya had recently returned to her family home in Mahabubabad. The incident occurred on Monday while her parents were away from the house. After returning, her parents found Sandhya unresponsive and rushed her to a local hospital. However, doctors declared that she had already died.

Mahabubabad town police subsequently registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Deputy tahsildar trainee had secured two government jobs

Sandhya was the younger of two daughters born to Venkateshwarlu and Padma. Her family said she had performed well academically. Before her selection as a deputy tahsildar trainee, Sandhya had secured a government job through the Group-4 recruitment process.

She then worked at the Mahabubabad municipality for some time. Later, when the Group-2 recruitment notification was issued, she prepared for the examination. Sandhya subsequently cleared the recruitment process and was selected as a deputy tahsildar. She had been receiving training in Khammam following her selection.

Her parents expressed doubts over what could have led their daughter to take the extreme step, given her academic and career achievements. Police were investigating the case to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
