Dasoju Sravan expresses support for Meenakshi Natarajan after nomination setback

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Prof. Dasoju Sravan Kumar expressed disappointment over the Meenakshi Natarajan nomination setback and described her absence from the Rajya Sabha as a loss for public life.

In a post on X, Sravan Kumar said it was unfortunate that a leader of Meenakshi Natarajan’s stature lost a Rajya Sabha opportunity over what he described as a technical issue in an affidavit.

He praised her honesty, integrity and commitment to Gandhian values.

According to him, she would not have intentionally concealed a minor matter.

Meenakshi Natarajan nomination setback sparks political remarks

While acknowledging that rules must be followed, Sravan Kumar referred to reports alleging an internal political conspiracy behind the development.

He claimed the episode reflected poorly on the functioning of the Congress in Telangana.

Further, the BRS leader alleged that some leaders opposed Meenakshi Natarajan after she attempted to question what he described as authoritarian tendencies in the state government.

He also criticised the growing influence of money power in the Rajya Sabha system.

According to Sravan Kumar, Parliament needed leaders with ideological commitment and integrity rather than financial influence.

Meanwhile, he described Meenakshi Natarajan as a grassroots leader who represented the interests of marginalised sections.

He said national politics would miss her voice in the Upper House.

Sravan Kumar concluded by expressing solidarity with the Congress leader and wished her success in future political battles.
