Cyberabad Police advise work from home, staggered logout amid rain alert

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad rain traffic advisory urged companies and organisations to allow employees to work from home wherever possible and implement staggered early logout from 2 pm on Thursday in view of the forecast for moderate to heavy rainfall.

The Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad, issued the advisory on July 30, 2026. Police said the measure aimed to protect employee safety, reduce traffic congestion and ensure the uninterrupted movement of emergency services during adverse weather.

Companies were requested to stagger employee departures to minimise travel-related risks and ease pressure on the road network. Police said the arrangement would help maintain smoother traffic flow across Cyberabad during the expected rainfall.

Cyberabad rain traffic advisory seeks company cooperation

The advisory asked organisations to share their office locations and planned early logout timings through email with the Cyberabad Traffic Police. Officials said the information would help them prepare traffic management plans in advance. Police also encouraged organisations to adopt work from home wherever feasible to reduce the number of vehicles on the roads during the rain spell.

According to the advisory, the precautionary measures would support uninterrupted emergency services while reducing the likelihood of severe traffic congestion. The Traffic Police thanked companies and organisations for their cooperation and urged them to implement the advisory in the interest of public safety.
