Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police intensified women safety measures and child protection activities across the commissionerate between May 2 and May 7.
According to the weekly report issued by the Women and Child Safety Wing, SHE Teams conducted 99 decoy operations.
Police caught 32 offenders for indecent behaviour at public places during the drives.
Authorities also booked 42 petty cases across different locations.
Officials addressed 17 complaints received from women victims during the review period.
Women safety drives focus on awareness and rescue operations
The Anti Human Trafficking Unit rescued victims and apprehended accused persons in cases registered under the PITA and Juvenile Justice Acts.
Authorities also resolved 33 family disputes through counselling centres operating under Cyberabad Police.
Meanwhile, awareness programmes on women protection, cyber frauds, stalking, trafficking and emergency helplines reached 1,685 participants.
As part of the initiative, the SCSC Women’s Safety Forum and Bank of America organised a safety awareness session.
More than 300 employees attended the programme.
The session focused on preparedness, vigilance and emergency response measures for women employees.
Cyberabad Police stated that preventive policing and awareness campaigns would continue across the commissionerate.
