CS reviews Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika events

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao on Saturday directed district collectors to ensure the successful conduct of programmes under the Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika initiative.

He reviewed arrangements for youth, sports and tourism week celebrations scheduled from May 18 to May 23.

The Chief Secretary conducted a teleconference from the Secretariat along with Special Chief Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan and Vani Prasad.

During the review, Ramakrishna Rao said the government launched the programmes to promote sportsmanship, fitness, social awareness and employment opportunities among youth.

He also instructed officials to create large-scale awareness about tourist destinations across Telangana.

The Chief Secretary asked officials to organise sports activities at state, district and mandal levels.

He directed district administrations to involve public representatives, sportspersons and youth organisations in every programme.

Ramakrishna Rao said the government would organise a 5K Run under the “Fit Telangana” theme on May 18 at state and district headquarters.

He also instructed officials to conduct walkathons, yoga sessions and similar programmes in all mandal centres.

According to him, the celebrations would help showcase Telangana’s tourism potential to the world.

The Chief Secretary announced free entry to all state-run museums during the week-long celebrations.

Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika review includes grain procurement

Ramakrishna Rao also reviewed ongoing grain procurement operations in districts during the teleconference.

He instructed collectors to prevent delays in procurement and ensure farmers did not face inconvenience.

The Chief Secretary said officials must strictly follow the directions issued by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy regarding procurement management.

He asked district administrations to take all necessary measures for smooth procurement operations across Telangana.
