Hyderabad: CPI State Secretary and MLA Kunamnen iSambasiva Rao demanded Dharmendra Pradhan resignation over the NEET paper leak. He accused the BJP-led Union government of jeopardising the future of the country’s youth through repeated examination irregularities. He made the demand while addressing the CPI’s Jangaon district political training programme at ASR Garden in Raghunathpalli mandal on Friday.
Meanwhile, CPI mandal secretary Kavati Yadagiri presided over the programme. CPI district secretary and former MLA C.H. Rajareddy also attended.
Further, Kunamnenialleged that the Union government was functioning in favour of corporate companies. He said the NEET paper leak had severely affected students. He held Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan morally responsible for the irregularities.

Accordingly, Kunamneni reiterated his demand for Dharmendra Pradhan resignation. He also condemned the police lathi charge on students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
Moreover, he alleged that the BJP-led Union government was pursuing anti-people and anti-worker policies. He further claimed it was attempting to divide people in the name of religion.
Turning to state politics, Kunamneni criticised the Congress and the BRS for giving greater importance to political accusations than to public issues.
In addition, he urged governments to focus on agriculture as farmers were facing hardship due to the impact of El Niño. He also called on young people to become aware of the country’s economic and political inequalities.
Finally, Kunamneni said the CPI would continue its struggle to resolve public issues. Later, several people from Kurchapalli village joined the CPI in his presence.
State Executive member Ittaboyina Umamahesh, State Assistant Secretary Aadi Sayanna, State Committee member Pathuri Sugunamma, District Assistant Secretary Akula Srinivas, Mandal Assistant Secretary Kandukuri Mallesham and leaders and activists from various mandals attended the programme.
