CM congratulates Pravallika Narimalla on Asian U23 relay gold

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday congratulated Pravallika Narimalla for winning the gold medal in the women’s 4x400m relay at the inaugural Asian U23 Athletics Championships 2026 in Ordos, China.

The Chief Minister praised the Telangana athlete for her outstanding performance on the international stage. Meanwhile, he said her achievement would inspire young sportspersons across the state.

Pravallika Narimalla shines in Asian U23 relay

Revanth Reddy noted that Pravallika studied at the SC Gurukul Degree College in Nalgonda and trained at the Dindi Gurukul Sports Academy. He said the daughter of a mason had proved that determination could overcome any obstacle.

Pravallika won the relay gold alongside Shravani Sachin Sangle, Sandramol Sabu and Nofisa Khatun. Further, the Indian quartet clocked 3:33.62 to secure the gold medal ahead of hosts China.

Before reaching the international stage, Pravallika won 35 medals at the state level, including 23 gold medals. Additionally, the Chief Minister congratulated the coaches who trained her.

Revanth Reddy also congratulated all Indian athletes who competed in the championships. India finished the event with 16 medals, including three gold, four silver and nine bronze medals.
