Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inspected Maddur development works in the Kodangal Assembly constituency on Friday and directed officials to complete key projects within their stipulated deadlines.
The Chief Minister visited Maddur municipality in Narayanpet district after travelling from Hyderabad by a special helicopter. During the visit, he reviewed ongoing construction projects and issued instructions on their completion, land requirements and quality standards.
Revanth Reddy first inspected the degree college building under construction in Maddur. WIDC Managing Director Ganapathi Reddy briefed him about the project and explained the progress of the work.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that the three-storey college building was being constructed on a four-acre site. The building had a proposed built-up area of 13,670 square feet.
During the inspection, Revanth Reddy examined the land adjoining the college site and facing the main road. He then asked officials to conduct a survey and establish the ownership status of the additional land.
The Chief Minister instructed Narayanpet District Collector Priyanka to initiate acquisition if the survey found that the adjoining land belonged to private titleholders. He also wanted a compound wall constructed around the college campus.
According to his directions, the additional land and compound wall were intended to provide a more spacious campus for the degree college.
Maddur development works included college deadline
Revanth Reddy directed officials to complete the degree college building by March. Moreover, he asked the departments concerned to take all necessary steps to begin classes from the next academic year.
The Chief Minister subsequently inspected residential school and college buildings that were under construction. He reviewed those projects as part of the Maddur development works and stressed both timely execution and construction quality.
Officials were instructed to finish the residential school and college works within the stipulated timeframe. In addition, Revanth Reddy directed them to maintain the required quality standards while completing the buildings.
He asked officials to ensure that the facilities were fully prepared for use after the construction work was completed.
The Chief Minister also addressed the issue of people who had donated land for construction of the Gurukula, or residential school, buildings. He directed officials to sanction Indiramma houses to those land donors.
The instruction linked housing assistance with the contributions made by people who had provided land for the educational facilities.
Meanwhile, a large number of supporters gathered during the Chief Minister’s inspection of the Maddur development works. Congress leaders and party workers also assembled to welcome him during his visit.
The gathering interacted with Revanth Reddy as he moved through the project sites and reviewed the progress of the development works in Maddur municipality.
His inspection covered the degree college project, the adjoining land requirement and the residential educational facilities. The Chief Minister also set timelines and issued directions on land acquisition, campus infrastructure, construction quality and Indiramma housing sanctions.
