Car driver dies by suicide in Borabanda; police investigate circumstances

Hyderabad: A 51-year-old man died by suicide in the Lambagundu area of Bharat Nagar under the Borabanda police station limits in the early hours of Sunday. Police shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary, registered a case, and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

According to police and family members, the deceased, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, worked as a car driver. Family members said he had been under severe mental distress in recent days and believed his name was not included in the SIR list. They alleged he feared legal consequences and was worried about the future of his three children.

His wife, Ismailbi, reportedly tried to console him on Saturday night. However, family members said he remained distressed. They stated that he was later found hanging from an iron rod attached to a shed outside their house in the early hours of Sunday.

Police investigate Borabanda suicide case

After receiving information, Borabanda police reached the scene, shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination, and registered a case. The investigation is continuing to determine the exact circumstances that led to the death.

Police have not officially confirmed any specific reason for the suicide, and the investigation remains underway.
