Hyderabad: BRS began its 26th foundation day celebrations with events across Telangana and scheduled a key meeting under party president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The party, founded on April 27, 2001, completed 25 years and entered its 26th year. Working president K T Rama Rao will hoist the party flag at Telangana Bhavan at 11 am. Meanwhile, the leadership asked cadres to organise flag hoisting programmes in villages, towns, mandals and district centres.
BRS Foundation Day marked with statewide programmes
The party will hold a key meeting at 2 pm at Telangana Bhavan under K Chandrasekhar Rao. MLAs, MPs, former legislators, district presidents and senior leaders will attend the session.
During the meeting, K Chandrasekhar Rao will outline the party’s 14-year agitation phase and its 10-year governance period. He will also review the last two-and-a-half years in opposition. Further, he will give direction to strengthen the party organisation in the coming days.
Later, K Chandrasekhar Rao may address the media at around 5 pm as part of the BRS foundation day schedule.
