Hyderabad: BJP agitation against the Congress government will intensify over issues affecting the people, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao said on Monday.
Speaking to the media at the BJP state headquarters, Rao alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil its promises after nearly three years in office.
He also criticised the administration over observations made by the Telangana High Court regarding HYDRAA and other government departments. Rao described the situation as a “sheer administrative failure”.
The BJP state president further alleged that the Revanth Reddy government had misled the courts. He questioned why HYDRAA had not reclaimed more than 300 acres of government land allegedly encroached upon in Balapur and Nadergul.
Rao said the BJP would step up its campaign against what he called the Congress government’s “anti-people policies”. The party would continue raising issues concerning the public, he added.
BJP agitation to focus on government policies and E20 petrol
Rao also addressed the controversy surrounding E20 ethanol-blended petrol. He accused the Congress and its INDI alliance partners of opposing measures taken in the national interest.
He alleged that the opposition parties were spreading misinformation about ethanol-blended petrol. According to Rao, E20 petrol was not a new initiative of the NDA government.
Instead, he pointed out that the Congress-led government had recommended its adoption more than a decade ago. He added that authorities introduced E20 petrol after extensive testing.
BJP state general secretary Dr N. Goutham Rao and chief official spokesperson and media in-charge N. V. Subhash also attended the media interaction.
