Hyderabad: BRS Mulugu district leader Bhukya Jampanna alleged that he had been threatened by Minister Seethakka after raising allegations over an alleged Rs. 4,000 crore sand mining scam and demanding an inquiry into the matter.
Addressing the media in Mulugu on Friday, Jampanna claimed that the alleged sand mining irregularities had come to light through satellite images. He urged the government to order a comprehensive investigation into the allegations.
He also referred to works carried out for the Medaram fair and alleged that poor quality standards had resulted in a boy losing his leg. Jampanna claimed that people in the constituency were aware of the incident and questioned the handling of the works.
Seethakka threat allegations linked to sand mining claims
Jampanna alleged that whenever questions were raised about the alleged allotment of hundreds of tippers to benami operators, supporters of Minister Seethakka resorted to personal criticism and threats instead of responding to the issues.
He further alleged that the minister, who has been elected as an MLA three times, had failed to protect the interests of tribal communities. Jampanna said he would continue to fight on behalf of the people as a BRS leader.
