Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said that no one, including celebrities and other prominent personalities, would be spared if found involved in cases related to drug use or drug trafficking.
Addressing a programme organised at Shilpakala Vedika on the occasion of International Anti-Drug Day and Anti-Human Trafficking Day, Bhatti Vikramarka said the state government was committed to taking strict action against drug offenders without discrimination.
He said the government had empowered the Eagle Force to identify and curb the sources of drugs across Telangana. He added that the special force would intensify efforts to prevent the spread of narcotics and strengthen enforcement against drug-related crimes.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar called upon heroes, heroines, actors, directors and character artists to actively support the government’s campaign against drug abuse and create awareness among the public.
IAS officer Anitha Ramachandran, DGP C.V. Anand, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty (Ramesh), Eagle Force officials and a large number of students participated in the programme.
