Bhatti Vikramarka announces healthcare boost for Singareni workers

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the government would fill all pending vacancies in Singareni hospitals by March 2026.

Speaking in the Assembly, Bhatti Vikramarka said the vacancies included 32 doctors and 176 paramedical staff. He said the move aimed to strengthen healthcare for Singareni workers and retirees.

He also announced that a Cath Lab at Godavarikhani would start functioning within 75 days. The facility will operate under the public-private partnership mode.

According to the minister, the government placed top priority on improving medical services in Singareni areas. He said these steps would help workers access timely treatment.

Singareni workers to get expanded healthcare and welfare support

Under the CPRMS scheme, the government is expanding healthcare benefits for Singareni employees. As part of this, retired workers will receive medicines worth up to ₹8 lakh.

In addition, Bhatti Vikramarka said the government would provide ₹1 crore accident insurance through banks. He also said authorities were ensuring timely payment of terminal benefits and housing support.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister reaffirmed the Congress government’s commitment to protect Singareni from privatisation threats. He said worker welfare remained a core priority.

Finally, Bhatti Vikramarka announced a high-level review meeting within the next 10 days. He said the meeting would focus on Singareni’s future, stability, and employee welfare.
