Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka clarified that the CIBIL score is not a criterion for selection under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, rejecting rumours circulating on social media as false and misleading.
Speaking at a media interaction in Tekulapalli mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Bhatti said the scheme was designed to support unemployed youth in the state through self-employment, not limit them through unnecessary eligibility filters.
He confirmed that the selection process at the district level will be completed by May 15, followed by sanctioning of applications by May 28. Sanction letters will begin distribution across constituencies starting June 2, coinciding with Telangana Formation Day.
The Deputy CM said the government has already provided 57,000 jobs and a new job calendar would soon be released. For those who still remain unemployed, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam offers a unique platform, he said, aimed at encouraging youth to develop their livelihoods independently.
He criticised the false campaign linking the scheme to CIBIL credit scores, calling it a result of misinformation. Bhatti reiterated that the focus is on supporting first-time applicants, especially those who haven’t previously benefited from SC and other corporation loans.
Referring to requests from local representatives in Illandu and Mahabubabad, Bhatti added that survey work had commenced for the Bayyaram and Thularam irrigation projects. The aim is to ensure a dependable water supply to these regions.
He also took a swipe at the BJP, stating that despite holding power for ten years with a surplus budget, the party failed to implement any meaningful schemes either for job creation or for youth entrepreneurship.
