HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay lashed out at Congress leaders on Thursday, accusing them of using deeply offensive language during their protest outside the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Hyderabad.
Reacting sharply on Twitter, Bandi Sanjay said that the Congress leaders were not voicing their own opinions, but were merely reading from a script allegedly prepared by Rahul Gandhi. He criticised their remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Minister Kishan Reddy, calling the language not only disgraceful but shocking to the general public.
“Their words were not just disrespectful but reflected a complete political bankruptcy. The Telangana public is closely observing such behaviour,” Bandi Sanjay said. He demanded an unconditional apology from Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party for the statements made during the protest.
The protest was organised by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) in response to the ED including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi’s names in its chargesheets. Congress leaders alleged that the BJP was misusing central agencies like the ED and CBI for political vendetta.
Bandi Sanjay, however, dismissed the protest as a desperate attempt by Congress to stay relevant. He suggested that the party’s frustration stemmed either from losing its grip over public support or from no longer being able to exploit the country.
He went on to say that Congress leaders had abandoned both reason and dignity, dragging their discourse to new lows. “Looking at the way Congress leaders are speaking, not only will they fail in 2029, but even after an era passes, their revival will remain a distant dream,” he remarked.
What Congress leaders spoke at the ED office Hyderabad wasn’t dissent – it was disgrace, scripted and staged by Rahul Gandhi.
