Hyderabad: AIMIM president Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi and Bahadurpura MLA Mohd Mubeen inaugurated Bahadurpura development works worth an estimated Rs 62.94 crore across the Assembly constituency.
The projects covered healthcare, education, drainage and road infrastructure. In addition, AIMIM former corporators and party workers accompanied Owaisi and Mubeen during the programme.
Among the major projects, a 100-bed government hospital would come up at Palem Road in Doodhbowli. The hospital project carried an estimated cost of Rs 44 crore.
The programme also included several box drain and retaining wall projects. For instance, a box drain from opposite Khaja Function Hall to the Electricity Office at Chandulal Baradari carried an estimated cost of Rs 1.05 crore. Work remained under way.
Meanwhile, another box drain would connect Masjid-e-Kaunain with the Government Polytechnic College. The project cost an estimated Rs 1.50 crore. Workers had already completed it.
Similarly, a box drain from behind the Government Polytechnic College to the Fire Station at Chandulal Baradari cost Rs 74 lakh. The work had also reached completion.
In addition, workers were constructing another box drain in the lane opposite the Government Polytechnic College. The project carried an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh.
The works further included an RCC retaining wall for the open nala behind Khaja Function Hall. The project cost an estimated Rs 48 lakh, while work continued.
Bahadurpura development works include school and road projects
In the education sector, the programme included a new Government High School building at Kala Maidan in Ramnastpura Division. The Urdu-medium school project carried an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore. Work remained under way.
At Nawab Sahab Kunta, workers were constructing a box drain and laying a VDCC road from Gudika Dawakhana to Madan Khan Colony. The road would run behind Ramreddy Guda. The project carried an estimated cost of Rs 5.65 crore.
Also at Nawab Sahab Kunta, workers were laying a 600mm-diameter NP2 pipeline and CC road from Teegalkunta X Roads to Metro Gym. The project cost an estimated Rs 95.80 lakh. Work remained under way.
In Falaknuma, workers had completed a 900mm-diameter NP3 pipeline and VDCC road from Nice Hotel to Roashan Colony. The project carried an estimated cost of Rs 3.88 crore.
At the same time, workers had completed the remodelling and extension of the box drain at the North Gate of Guntal Shah Dargah. The project cost an estimated Rs 46.40 lakh.
Another Falaknuma project covered six lanes opposite Muqaddar Hotel. It involved laying a 600mm-diameter NP2 pipeline and a CC road. The estimated cost stood at Rs 65.80 lakh, and work remained under way.
Finally, an SWG pipeline and VDCC road project covered the stretch from Muqaddar Hotel to Gafooriya Masjid. It also included three by-lanes and cost an estimated Rs 1.06 crore. Workers had completed the project.
The AIMIM said these Bahadurpura development works formed part of its development efforts in the constituency. Former corporators and party workers attended the inauguration programme.
