Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials (ACB) carried out raids on Tuesday at multiple properties linked to Nizamabad Excise Superintendent Malla Reddy in connection with an alleged disproportionate assets case.
The teams conducted simultaneous searches at his residences in Machabollaram in Hyderabad and Pragathi Nagar in Nizamabad. Officials also searched the Excise Superintendent’s office and houses belonging to his relatives.
The ACB raids followed recent corruption allegations against the excise official. Officers launched the operation early in the day and examined records at several locations.

Malla Reddy has served as Nizamabad Excise Superintendent for the past six years. Following the allegations, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials began examining his assets and financial records.
During the searches, officials reportedly seized important documents from his residence in Pragathi Nagar. Investigators are verifying whether the assets correspond with his known sources of income.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that officials took Malla Reddy into custody and shifted him to Hyderabad. However, authorities had not officially confirmed the development at the time of reporting.
The investigation remained underway as officials scrutinised documents and other material collected during the operation.
