Yashoda Hospitals introduces Pulse Field Ablation technology for heart rhythm disorders

Hyderabad: Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad, introduced Pulse Field Ablation technology for treating complex heart rhythm disorders and successfully performed the advanced procedure on two patients aged 31 and 84 years.

The hospital said the Medtronic Pulse Select Pulse Field Ablation system uses precisely controlled electric pulses to treat abnormal heart tissue without heat or extreme cold. The technology reduces the risk of injury to surrounding organs while supporting faster patient recovery.

The 31-year-old patient, diagnosed with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and left atrial tachycardia, regained a normal heart rhythm after the procedure. The second patient, aged 84, who had persistent atrial fibrillation, also underwent successful treatment and was discharged in a stable condition after his heart rhythm was restored.

Pulse Field Ablation expands advanced cardiac care

Dr MS Chandramouli, Senior Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Heart Failure Specialist, performed the procedures along with the Electrophysiology team at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad.

“This marks a major breakthrough in the treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders by offering greater precision, enhanced safety, and faster patient recovery,” Dr Chandramouli said.

With the introduction of Pulse Field Ablation, Yashoda Hospitals said it had further strengthened its advanced cardiac care services by providing patients access to one of the latest globally accepted treatment options for complex cardiac arrhythmias.
