Vivek Venkatswamy terms KCR family rift an asset feud, urges vote for Congress

Hyderabad: State Labour and Mines Minister Dr. Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy on Monday described the ongoing turmoil in the KCR family as a fight over looted assets, not a political issue.

During door-to-door campaigning in Wards 6, 7, 8, and 10 of Kyathanpalli Municipality, Vivek explained Congress welfare schemes and urged residents to vote for Congress candidates to ensure proper ward development.

KCR family asset feud not political, says Vivek Venkatswamy

While addressing the public, Vivek strongly criticised BRS leader Balka Suman. He said Suman never engaged with local problems and instead spent most of his time at KCR’s residence. He alleged that the previous BRS regime focused on land grabs and the sand mafia while ignoring governance.

Moreover, he accused the former government of sanctioning public works like roads and drainage only where commissions were involved. In contrast, he cited the construction of 3,500 Indiramma houses during his term as MLA. He pointed out that BRS failed to provide even a single Double Bedroom home to the poor.

Turning to the internal feud, Vivek claimed that Kavitha, Harish Rao, and KTR were fighting over their share in the family’s ill-gotten wealth. “This is not a political rift—it’s an asset-sharing dispute disguised as leadership confusion. The women’s quota argument is just a cover,” he said.

Congress committed to real development in Kyathanpalli

Despite not holding an MLA seat, Vivek said he facilitated ₹2.5 crore worth of development in Amaravadi village. He also highlighted service activities carried out by the Visakha Trust, reinforcing his family’s ongoing commitment to public welfare.

Furthermore, he announced that pensions for eligible beneficiaries will begin next month. He appealed to voters to give Congress a clear majority in Kyathanpalli to sustain development momentum.

A large number of Congress leaders, workers, and local residents participated in the campaign event.
