Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao blames KTR for rise in Telangana’s drug and gun culture

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao launched a sharp attack on BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), alleging that he was the root cause of the drug and gun culture in the state. He also questioned the massive debts and unfulfilled promises made by the previous BRS government.

Speaking to the media during his campaign in the Jubilee Hills constituency on Thursday, Nageswara Rao countered KTR’s claim that Congress had left pending dues. He accused the BRS of betraying the people by failing to deliver on their promises made during their rule.

The Minister said that despite financial challenges, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government had continued welfare and development programmes over the past 20 months. Moreover, he reminded BRS leaders of their defeats in the last Assembly and Parliament elections, noting that voters had already rejected their rule.

According to him, people who failed in governance for ten years have no right to question the Congress government. He further dismissed KTR’s remarks that industries were moving out of the state due to the Revanth Reddy administration’s policies.

Nageswara Rao asserted that industrialists were, in fact, investing in Telangana every day. He said that the government’s pro-growth policies and stable governance had restored investor confidence across the state.
