Hyderabad: CPI MLC Nellikanti Satyam thanked Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) employees for electing the Employees’ Union (EU–NMU–TMU) alliance. He said the TGSRTC poll verdict reflected workers’ continued faith in unions that champion their interests.
Satyam alleged that the Congress had attempted to defeat the alliance by supporting rival unions. However, he said RTC employees had responded to those efforts through their votes.
The CPI leader said the alliance had a long record of fighting for job security, fair wages and better working conditions. He added that the result reaffirmed employees’ support for unions committed to addressing their problems.
TGSRTC poll verdict brings responsibility for union leaders
Congratulating the alliance, Satyam said its victory brought greater responsibility towards employees. He urged its leaders to remain united and focus on resolving workers’ grievances.
The CPI MLC also called on the alliance to safeguard employees’ rights and continue its efforts to improve working conditions. He stressed the importance of maintaining unity while addressing the concerns of TGSRTC workers.
