Hyderabad: Minister for Tourism, Culture and Excise Jupally Krishna Rao on Tuesday said Telangana tourism recognition in the ‘Divya Bharat’ report by NITI Aayog marked a proud moment for the State.
He said the Telangana tourism reflected the State’s diverse tourism strengths. The report highlighted several key destinations and cultural assets.
The Minister noted that Hussain Sagar, Golconda Fort and Bhongir Fort continued to draw visitors. He also cited spiritual centres such as Yadadri Temple and Bhadrachalam Temple.
Further, he said natural attractions like Kuntala Waterfall and Bogatha Waterfall added to the appeal. He also mentioned festivals such as Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara.
In addition, traditional crafts like Pochampally Ikat were highlighted in the report. These elements, he said, strengthened the State’s tourism profile.
Jupally invited tourists to explore Telangana’s offerings. He said the State provided a complete travel experience through its traditions, cuisine and natural beauty.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving tourism infrastructure. He also said efforts would continue to promote Telangana tourism further.
