Hyderabad: Telangana leaders on Tuesday paid heartfelt tributes to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on his birth anniversary, which is observed nationwide as National Education Day. They praised his lifelong efforts to promote education, equality, and social progress.

Since 2008, India has celebrated November 11 as National Education Day to honour Azad, the nation’s first Education Minister and a key freedom fighter. Across Telangana, schools and colleges organised seminars, essay contests, and awareness rallies. These events aimed to promote literacy and highlight the value of inclusive education. Moreover, his ideas continue to inspire India’s path toward learning and empowerment.
Leaders extend greetings on social media
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy posted his greetings on X. He said Maulana Azad “paved the way for educational development across India.” In addition, he urged citizens to uphold Azad’s vision for accessible and quality education.
Likewise, TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud called Azad “a visionary and freedom fighter who strengthened India’s academic foundations.” He extended warm wishes to the people on the occasion.
