Telangana explores Israel jobs for skilled youth

Hyderabad: Telangana Labour, Employment and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Wednesday held discussions with Israeli government representatives and private sector partners. The talks focused on overseas employment opportunities for skilled youth from Telangana.

The meeting took place at the TOMCOM office in Masab Tank in Hyderabad. Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited organised the interaction under the Labour and Employment Department.

Officials said the programme aimed to deploy Telangana construction workers to Israel’s renovation sector. Moreover, the initiative is being implemented with support from the National Skill Development Corporation International and the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel.

Israel jobs programme targets construction workers

During the meeting, Israeli delegates discussed employment opportunities and future collaborations with Telangana government officials.

Secretary for Labour, Employment, Training and Factories Dasari Harichandana and Director of Employment and Training Kanthi Wesley attended the programme. TOMCOM officials also participated in the discussions.

Officials said the Israeli government requested 1,200 workers for the renovation sector.

Training programmes covered ceramic tiling, plastering, block masonry, and drywall installation. In addition, officials provided skill development support to shortlisted candidates.

Israel jobs assessments underway under TOMCOM

Authorities conducted a pre-skill assessment for 4,247 candidates between November 17 and 19, 2025.

Out of them, 2,059 candidates qualified for the next stage of the programme. Meanwhile, officials are conducting the final skill assessment for 1,200 shortlisted candidates from May 5 to May 10, 2026, under Phase-I.

The Telangana government said the initiative aimed to expand overseas employment opportunities for skilled youth from the state.
