Telangana BJP chief visits injured BJYM worker at Gandhi Hospital

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Thursday visited injured BJYM worker Rajashekhar at Gandhi Hospital following the recent Chalo Assembly protest.

Ramchander Rao met Rajashekhar and enquired about his health condition following the protest. The BJP and BJYM had organised the agitation over pending student fee reimbursement dues.

During his hospital visit, Rao spoke with doctors about the injured BJYM worker. He sought details about Rajashekhar’s treatment, present health condition and recovery.

The Telangana BJP president also interacted with Rajashekhar at the hospital. Moreover, he wished the BJYM worker a speedy recovery from his injuries.

Injured BJYM worker hurt during fee reimbursement protest

Rajashekhar suffered injuries during the recent Chalo Assembly protest organised by BJP and BJYM workers. The protesters had demanded the immediate release of pending student fee reimbursement dues.

According to the BJP, the long-pending dues had affected lakhs of students across Telangana. Therefore, party workers had pressed the Congress government to clear the outstanding reimbursement amounts without further delay.

Several BJP and BJYM workers were detained during the protest following police action. In addition, several workers sustained injuries during the agitation.

The BJP subsequently reiterated its demand for the immediate release of the pending dues. The party also called on the State government to address the concerns raised by students over fee reimbursement.

Rao’s visit to the injured BJYM worker followed the party’s protest over the issue. He reviewed Rajashekhar’s condition with doctors and personally interacted with him during the visit to Gandhi Hospital.
