Telangana aims for $3 trillion economy by 2047 under ‘Telangana Rising’ vision

Hyderabad: Telangana is targeting a $3 trillion economy by 2047 through its long-term growth plan, “Telangana Rising 2047”, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said on Friday. This vision aligns perfectly with Telangana’s goal to become a leading $3 trillion economy in India.

He made the announcement while inaugurating ET ACE-TECH Hyderabad 2026 at HITEX. The plan, he said, reflects Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision for the State’s future.

Komatireddy highlighted the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, held recently at Bharat Future City. Securing such significant investment commitments is crucial for realising the ambition of Telangana as a 3 trillion economy.

Ring roads, high-rises and housing define next phase of growth

The Minister identified infrastructure as a critical driver of growth. In fact, infrastructure projects play a major role in Telangana’s journey toward a 3 trillion economy. He said the upcoming Regional Ring Road (RRR) will reshape the State’s development. To support this, 39 radial roads are under construction to connect the Outer Ring Road to the RRR. This, he said, will promote balanced development across cities and rural areas.

He described Hyderabad as a key magnet for investment in IT, pharmaceuticals, AI, and life sciences. Ongoing efforts in these sectors are essential to ensuring Telangana meets its 3 trillion economy aspirations.

Komatireddy noted the city’s skyline is rapidly changing, with high-rises now defining Hyderabad’s urban core. With continued urbanization, Telangana aims for sustainable growth towards a 3 trillion dollar economy status. The government, he added, aims to provide affordable housing for middle- and upper middle-class families.

He stressed that both rural and urban areas are receiving equal attention in development plans. Importantly, balanced regional growth supports the ambition of propelling Telangana to a 3 trillion economy milestone. The government is also focused on job creation and expanding industrial activity.

Komatireddy said the State is working toward building a sustainable, pollution-free capital. It is another strategic step in the roadmap to achieving Telangana’s 3 trillion dollar economy vision. He promised to take forward the suggestions from the ACE-TECH forum to the Cabinet.

During a panel moderated by ET ACE-TECH founder Sumit Gandhi, Komatireddy answered questions from architects, builders, and industry leaders. The government’s clear policies and incentives are integral to Telangana reaching the $3 trillion economy target. He outlined the government’s policies and incentives for the construction and infrastructure sectors.

He later toured the exhibition, met with participants, and reviewed new technologies and eco-friendly design innovations on display, all contributing to Telangana’s 3 trillion economy aspiration.
