Hyderabad: Tata Lockheed Martin engagement with the Telangana government advanced as Tim Riffle, Managing Director of Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Ltd, met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Tim Riffle conveyed the company’s interest in expanding investments in Telangana, particularly in the aerospace manufacturing sector. The interaction focused on potential opportunities for industrial growth and collaboration.
Tata Lockheed discusses aerospace investments in Telangana
Lockheed Martin is planning to establish a C-130J Super Hercules final assembly line in India, a move expected to strengthen domestic aerospace manufacturing capabilities. The development forms part of broader efforts to enhance India’s defence production ecosystem.
Further, Martin has entered into an agreement with Tata Advanced Systems Limited to manufacture F-16 wings at its facility in India. The production will cater to global requirements and expand India’s role in international supply chains.
The Tata Lockheed Martin discussions also reflected the company’s intent to scale up operations in the region, with Telangana emerging as a potential hub for aerospace investments.
