Hyderabad: Legislative Affairs Minister Sridhar Babu said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud had strong political and administrative coordination. He said the government’s vision and the party’s organisational work were moving in the same direction.
Sridhar Babu said the Congress would return to power in Telangana under their leadership in the coming elections. He expressed confidence in their coordination and political leadership.
The minister also accused the BRS of deliberately creating disruption in the Assembly. He said the government wanted to discuss public issues with the opposition party in the House.
According to the minister, BRS members deliberately created disorder and faced suspension from the Assembly. He alleged that BRS leaders were unwilling to follow the democratic rules and procedures of the legislature.
He also criticised the BRS over its record during its decade in power. The minister said the Assembly had functioned for fewer days during the previous government.
Sridhar Babu attacks BRS over Assembly conduct
The present government, he said, was conducting longer Assembly sessions with transparency. He alleged that the BRS was unable to accept the extended functioning of the House.
He also accused BRS members of insulting the Speaker’s position. Further, he criticised their alleged inappropriate remarks about police personnel performing their duties.
Sridhar Babu alleged that the BRS was undermining democratic institutions to remain in the news. He said the opposition party should instead use the Assembly to raise public issues.
The minister reiterated that the government’s vision and the Congress party’s organisational efforts were aligned. He also maintained that Revanth Reddy and Mahesh Kumar Goud had effective coordination.
Congress, he said, would contest the coming elections under their leadership. He expressed confidence that the party would return to power in Telangana.
