Hyderabad: Government Whip Aadi Srinivas accused the BRS of spreading false information about Section 22A lands in Telangana. He said the party was misleading people over the prohibited land list.
Speaking at the Assembly media point, Srinivas alleged that some BRS leaders had used the Dharani portal for land-related irregularities during the previous government. He said the present government was correcting what he described as mistakes made by the earlier administration.
Srinivas rejected BRS leaders’ claim that one crore acres had been placed on the Section 22A list. He said only 3.60 lakh acres had remained on the prohibited list under the applicable rules.
According to Srinivas, the land included areas covered by High Court orders and serious legal disputes. He said the government was also correcting minor errors caused by officials wherever such problems occurred.
The Government Whip accused the BRS of trying to create confusion over the land issue. He said the government was addressing genuine problems related to the prohibited list.

Srinivas also criticised the BRS for staying away from the Assembly during the ongoing session. He said the party was instead conducting what it called “mock assemblies”.
He described the move as an example of what he called BRS irresponsibility. The MLA also accused BRS members of insulting the Speaker, Dalit communities and police personnel performing their duties.
Srinivas said the government would soon disclose details of alleged land irregularities linked to the Dharani portal. He said the government would present evidence before the Assembly.
