BRS leader Sravan Dasoju writes open letter to Rahul Gandhi slamming CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dr. Sravan Dasoju issued a blistering open letter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, accusing Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of abusive conduct and anarchic governance. The Sravan Dasoju open letter calls for Rahul Gandhi’s immediate intervention to stop what he described as a collapse of constitutional and moral order in the state.

In the letter, Sravan alleged that Revanth Reddy has turned the Telangana Assembly into a “verbal slaughterhouse” and is running a “shop of hate and filth” in contrast to Rahul Gandhi’s national message of unity.

Verbal abuse, threats, and “Gully-isation” of governance

Sravan criticised the CM for allegedly calling opposition members “Badwe” (pimps) during Assembly proceedings. He further condemned remarks attributed to Revanth Reddy that involved violent imagery, such as “skinning” political rivals and “wearing intestines around his neck,” accusing him of using intimidation to silence dissent.

He also alleged that the Chief Minister directed vulgar attacks against a former CM in the presence of schoolchildren, warning that such language “poisons young minds” and normalises abuse in public life.

Describing the state’s current condition as the “Gully-isation” of governance, Sravan claimed that Congress has replaced promises of change with corruption, political brokerage, and harassment of Adivasi farmers to benefit private pharmaceutical interests.

Sravan warns of political consequences

Calling Rahul Gandhi’s silence “complicity,” Sravan warned that inaction from the Congress leadership would damage its credibility beyond Telangana. He urged the party to act swiftly to restore constitutional values and democratic dignity in the state.

“Democracy is patient, but it is not forgetful,” Sravan wrote, warning that the public response could be severe if the alleged behaviour continues unchecked.
