The AMRUT 2.0 plan involves the construction of four overhead water tanks, each with a five lakh litre capacity. These will come up at Islampur Colony, Little Scholar School area, Green City Colony, and Drivers Colony. To improve civic conditions, the plan also includes new cement concrete roads in Vikas Nagar and Lingapur wards.
Highlighting his inclusive approach, Shabbir Ali said development must benefit all communities. “I have never allowed caste or communal interests to influence my work. There is no room for discrimination in public service,” he said.

The foundation ceremony drew a large turnout of municipal officials, elected representatives, and residents. Shabbir Ali underscored the need for lasting progress rooted in fairness, rather than political slogans or short-term gains.
Earlier in the day, he visited Little Scholar School’s Radio House and took part in a live student-led interview. He encouraged children to build communication and leadership skills early in life. “Practical experience matters as much as academic success. Engaging with media boosts confidence and self-belief,” he noted. He urged students to maintain discipline and pursue goals with clarity.
Later, he toured a badminton academy in Kamareddy and interacted with budding athletes. Stressing the importance of physical activity, he said, “Health is wealth. Fitness fosters focus, discipline, and mental strength.” He urged youth to take up regular exercise and avoid unhealthy habits. Whether as a career or a hobby, he said, sports build character and resilience.
Shabbir Ali assured athletes of continued support from the state. He said the Telangana government remains committed to identifying rural talent and creating the infrastructure needed for their growth. The visit concluded with interactions involving academy officials, local leaders, and sports enthusiasts.
