SCCL sets up advanced cardiac cath lab at Ramagundam-I hospital

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has completed an advanced cardiac cath lab at the Ramagundam-I Area Hospital in Godavarikhani. The facility is ready for inauguration and will provide emergency cardiac care to employees, retirees and residents of the coal belt.

The cardiac cath lab has been established in Godavarikhani, where around 33,000 Singareni employees reside. The facility will also serve people from Peddapalli, Mancherial, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts.

Cardiac cath lab to strengthen emergency care

SCCL said the new facility would provide immediate treatment for heart attack patients during the critical “Golden Hour.” Doctors consider this period crucial for improving survival rates through timely medical intervention.

Earlier, patients requiring advanced cardiac treatment had to travel to Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and other cities. As a result, valuable treatment time was often lost.

The company established the cardiac cath lab to ensure that patients receive advanced cardiac intervention without delay.

Singareni Chief Medical Officer Kiran Raj Kumar said the facility would provide life-saving treatment closer to patients. He expressed confidence that the centre would improve survival rates by delivering emergency cardiac care during the Golden Hour.

According to SCCL, the modern facility reflects the company’s commitment to protecting the health of its workforce while improving specialised healthcare services across the coal belt.
