Hyderabad: Former MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah on Tuesday demanded that ruling MLA Kadiyam Srihari resign, alleging that he continued in office against constitutional and democratic norms.
Rajaiah attacks Srihari over development, party stance
As part of the BRS “Sankalpa Yatra” covering welfare and development schemes, Rajaiah toured several villages in the mandal. At a press conference in Nagaram, he said Srihari lacked political clarity and often made confusing statements. He mocked him as a leader skilled only in “Goebbels-style propaganda.”
Rajaiah argued that visible development in the constituency came from the previous BRS government. He claimed that in 21 months of Congress rule, Srihari had done nothing for local people. He also criticised him for failing to secure even minor works for integrated schools. In addition, he accused Srihari of neglecting funds for the newly formed municipality.
The former MLA said Srihari had already admitted he would not contest again. “If he has courage, let him resign from the MLA post and then speak,” Rajaiah challenged.
Mandal party president Srinivas, leaders Eedunoori Veeraiah, Gandi Yadagiri, Chitla Upender Reddy, Shekhar, Sampath, Gorige Madar, Regu Srisailam, Anjaneyulu, and Vishnu Venkatesh also attended.
