Hyderabad: BRS MLA Palla Rajeswar Reddy mocked the Congress irrigation policy during the party’s mock Assembly at Telangana Bhavan. He played the role of the irrigation minister and targeted the Congress government with sarcastic remarks.
Palla said the government understood bank cheques but not cusecs. Through the remark, he took a dig at its handling of irrigation affairs.
He also mocked the government’s approach to the Kaleshwaram project. Palla said the government would not repair Kaleshwaram because the work could bring recognition to former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The BRS MLA also said the government would not repair the Medigadda barrage. Before the mock Assembly, Palla said he had not prepared the subject.
Instead, he said he would speak according to the advice of adviser Adityanath Das. He also referred to his Army experience and said it had taught him discipline.

However, Palla sarcastically remarked that the Chief Minister’s influence had increased the use of abusive language. He then turned to the Tummidihatti project and its long delay.
Palla said the government had planned the project in 2004. He claimed Maharashtra had not granted permission even though the same party was in power there.
Now, he said, the government would construct Tummidihatti after a decade-long delay. Palla also criticised the handling of water management meetings.
At KRMB and GRMB meetings, he sarcastically said he would sign wherever adviser Adityanath Das asked him to sign. He added that he had mistaken a CWC meeting for a Congress meeting.
Palla further claimed that Chandrababu Naidu had helped the Congress come to power in Telangana. He sarcastically asked whether the Congress should not repay its debt to Naidu.
In another jibe, Palla referred to alleged commissions of 40 per cent in Karnataka and 30 per cent in Telangana. He questioned what was wrong with the difference.
Finally, Palla described Congress as a family-like alliance. He ended his remarks by saying that a Sonia Gandhi certificate was enough for the party.
