No shortage of fuel and LPG in Rangareddy, says Collector

Hyderabad: District Collector C. Narayana Reddy confirmed there was no fuel shortage Rangareddy and assured that LPG, petrol and diesel supplies remained stable across the district.

He said adequate stocks were available and urged the public not to panic. At the same time, he directed officials to strengthen supply systems to ensure smooth distribution.

The Collector chaired a review meeting on Saturday at the Integrated District Offices Complex. Civil supplies officials, gas agencies and petrol bunk operators attended the session. During the meeting, he examined supply and consumption patterns of LPG, petrol and diesel.

Officials confirmed that cooking gas supplies remained sufficient in the district. The Collector said reserves were adequate to meet demand. Therefore, he advised consumers to book LPG cylinders only when necessary.

Narayana Reddy said unnecessary bookings were putting pressure on the supply system. He clarified that agencies would deliver cylinders directly to households after booking.

Residents should avoid visiting gas agencies or godowns, he said. Instead, they will receive cylinders at their doorstep as per schedule.

He again stressed that there was no fuel shortage Rangareddy in petrol and diesel supplies. Moreover, he warned people against crowding at fuel stations or creating artificial demand.

Storing petrol or diesel at home could pose safety risks, he said. Therefore, he urged the public to purchase fuel strictly based on need.

The Collector directed petrol bunk operators to fill fuel only in vehicle tanks. He clearly instructed them not to dispense petrol or diesel in cans or bottles.

In addition, he asked operators to spread awareness on safe fuel usage. He also emphasised that priority must be given to vehicles linked to schools and hospitals.

Authorities told gas agencies and fuel stations to reassure consumers about supply levels. They confirmed that distribution remained uninterrupted.

The Collector reiterated that the government had taken all steps to maintain continuous supply. Meanwhile, he urged citizens not to believe rumours or misinformation.

Additional Collector (Revenue) Chandra Reddy, District Civil Supplies Officer Vanajata, welfare officials Rameshwari Devi and Keshu Ram, Agriculture Officer Usha, along with gas agency representatives and petrol bunk operators attended the meeting.
