Nalgonda sexual assault case filed after 54-year-old woman attacked

Hyderabad: Nalgonda sexual assault case was registered after a 54-year-old woman was allegedly attacked in Bottala Palem village. Police said a 16-year-old boy from the same village was accused in the incident.

According to Rural CI PND Prasad, the woman was allegedly taken to an abandoned house on Sunday. The accused allegedly restrained her there and sexually assaulted her when nobody was at home.

The woman’s mother had travelled to Miryalaguda and returned later. She found that her daughter was missing and began searching the surrounding area.

Meanwhile, people heard screams coming from an abandoned house. Locals alerted the police, who quickly reached the location and rescued the woman.

Police took the woman to the government area hospital for medical examinations. Officers also began investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.

The victim’s mother subsequently lodged a complaint with the police. Based on her complaint, officers registered a case and started an investigation.

The incident occurred in Bottala Palem village of Damaracharla mandal in Nalgonda district. Police are continuing their inquiry into the allegations and the circumstances of the incident.

Nalgonda sexual assault case under investigation

Rural CI PND Prasad confirmed that police had registered the case following the mother’s complaint. The investigation was underway to establish the facts of the incident.

The police response followed information from local residents who heard the woman’s screams. Officers reached the abandoned house and arranged medical examinations for the woman.

Authorities are now examining the available information as part of the investigation. Further action will depend on the findings of the police probe.
