N Ramchander Rao honours Anganwadi workers at Mallapur event

Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP president N Ramchander Rao honoured Anganwadi workers at an Angan Milan Seva programme held in Mallapur under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The programme marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 25 years in public service, according to Rao.

Rao said the event recognised the work of Anganwadi workers and appreciated their services at the grassroots level. He said women were playing a key role in building a developed India under Modi’s leadership.

The BJP state president said Modi’s government had reflected its commitment to women’s health, dignity, safety and empowerment through its welfare schemes. He also highlighted the role of frontline workers in implementing those programmes.

Rao said Anganwadi and ASHA workers formed the backbone of efforts aimed at achieving the larger development objective. Their continued work at the grassroots level, he said, strengthened the maternal and child health system.

He also said the workers helped take government welfare schemes to households. Their field-level services, according to Rao, connected welfare programmes with beneficiaries.

Rao attended the programme along with MP Eatala Rajender, Mahila Morcha president Dr Shilpa Reddy, district president Girivardhan Reddy and senior party workers.

The event was organised as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, with Anganwadi workers receiving recognition for their services.
