Hyderabad: Malkajgiri police checks focused on community safety during a recent community policing initiative across residential colonies. Police conducted vehicle checks and visible policing while interacting directly with residents through the Mee Suraksha programme.
During the outreach, police created awareness about road safety and ways to prevent cybercrimes. They also explained the harmful effects of drugs and highlighted the role of CCTV cameras in controlling crime.
Meanwhile, officers used face-to-face interactions to understand problems reported by people in the colonies. Police also took remedial action on issues raised during the interactions.
Malkajgiri police checks strengthen safety awareness
The initiative combined enforcement activities with direct engagement between police and residents. Vehicle checks formed part of the wider effort, alongside visible policing in residential areas.
In addition, officers discussed crime prevention measures with the public. The outreach covered cyber safety, road safety, drug prevention and the importance of CCTV surveillance.
Police also sought to understand local concerns during their interactions with residents. As a result, the programme included both public awareness efforts and action on problems raised by people.
