Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Congress government would continue the inquiry into lands linked to former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s family. He made the remarks while speaking to ABN in Delhi on Saturday.
Officials were continuing their investigation into the land issue, he said. He questioned how hundreds of acres had allegedly come into the KCR family’s possession.
If the lands belonged to the family, they should produce the relevant documents, Mahesh Kumar Goud said. He added that the Congress government remained committed to helping poor and Dalit families secure their own homes under Indiramma Rajyam.
The TPCC president also rejected criticism of the Congress over the 22A issue. According to him, opposition leaders were spreading what he described as misinformation about the prohibited land list.
