Leaders pay tributes to Roshaiah on his fourth death anniversary

Hyderabad: Leaders from several wings of the Congress party paid tributes at the Roshaiah death anniversary event held at Ravindra Bharathi. The programme marked the fourth death anniversary of former united Andhra Pradesh chief minister Konijeti Roshaiah.

Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar and TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud attended the gathering. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, MLC Dayanand, senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao, TPCC working president Jagga Reddy, Vaishya Corporation chairperson Kalva Sujatha and former Tourism Corporation chairman Uppal Srinivas Gupta were also present. Leaders offered floral tributes to Roshaiah’s portrait during the ceremony.

Trust activities held during Roshaiah death anniversary

The Roshaiah Memorial Trust honoured V. Hanumantha Rao at the event. In addition, the Trust presented scholarships to poor students. The awards were given by the Council Chairman, the Speaker and minister Ponnam Prabhakar. Organisers said the Trust continued its support for disadvantaged students and aimed to expand its outreach in the coming years.
