KTR visits home of BRS leader who died by suicide, assures support to family

Hyderabad: BRS working president K Tarakarama Rao on Wednesday visited the residence of party leader Sardar in Borabanda, days after Sardar allegedly died by suicide following harassment by local corporator and Congress leader Baba Fasihuddin.

During the visit, KTR met with Sardar’s widow and relatives, discussed the circumstances surrounding the incident, and offered condolences on behalf of the party. He assured the family that both the BRS and he personally would stand by them during the difficult period.

KTR handed over a financial assistance cheque of ₹5 lakh to Sardar’s widow. He stated that the amount was intended to support the education and welfare of the deceased leader’s two children.

He was accompanied by former minister T. Srinivas Yadav, MLCs D. Shravan and P. Srinivas Reddy, former MLA Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and senior leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail. The leaders reiterated that the party would provide continued assistance to the bereaved family and would take all necessary steps to ensure justice.
