KTR claims Telangana dropped to 13th in Ease of Doing Business rankings

Hyderabad: BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) claimed that Telangana had slipped to the 13th position in the Ease of Doing Business rankings and blamed the Congress government for the state’s alleged decline in the investment climate.

In a post on X, KTR alleged that investors were facing intimidation under the present government. He also referred to remarks that he attributed to the daughter of a state Cabinet minister and claimed they reflected a hostile environment for industrialists.

KTR further alleged that crime and looting had increased in Telangana. However, he did not provide evidence to support the allegations in his post.

KTR links Ease of Doing Business to investment climate

The BRS leader argued that the state’s investment environment had weakened under the Congress government. He maintained that such developments could affect industrial growth and investor confidence.

The Congress government had not responded to KTR’s claims at the time of publication.
