erHyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday launched a sharp political attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of crashing Telangana’s real estate market, failing to deliver on job promises, and resorting to abusive language in public discourse.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, where former Bandlaguda mayor Srilatha Prem Goud formally joined BRS, KTR said Congress came to power by showing “heaven on the palm” during elections but has failed to implement its guarantees. He accused the Congress government of pushing people into debt and failing to protect their assets.
KTR says Congress ruined growth while BRS built it
KTR reminded people that under BRS, land values rose significantly—land that was worth ₹5 lakh had reached ₹30–50 lakh. He blamed the Congress regime for stalling real estate and alleged that Revanth Reddy crushed the sector in just two years.
He said former CM KCR tackled power shortages within six months of taking office and delivered quality electricity and development to every village, including public parks and crematoriums. “People still remember KCR because he improved their lives,” KTR said.
Hitting out further, KTR said Revanth Reddy failed to create jobs, and that even the 10,000 jobs given were from KCR’s administration. He claimed the CM was afraid to visit Ashok Nagar due to the rising anger of unemployed youth. “Revanth promised 70,000 jobs but didn’t deliver even 10,000,” KTR said.
He criticised the Congress government for demolishing homes of the poor people under the pretext of the Hydra project, while turning a blind eye to illegal buildings owned by its own MLAs.

‘Revanth knows only one language—abuse’
KTR alleged that the Congress government misled people with fake promises, and that Revanth Reddy swore on gods and Congress leaders to implement six guarantees. “When asked about pensions, all he offers is foul language,” KTR remarked. “He knows only one language—abuse.”
On state debt, KTR countered Congress claims by citing CAG data, stating that BRS left behind only ₹2.8 lakh crore in borrowings. He said Congress leaders were quoting inconsistent figures – ₹6 lakh crore, ₹7 lakh crore, and ₹8 lakh crore – while a BJP MP had confirmed only ₹2 lakh crore during Parliament proceedings.
The BRS leader also questioned the political future of MLAs who switched from BRS to Congress and advised Revanth Reddy to remember that power is never permanent. He urged the CM to focus on the promises made to people rather than on vendetta politics.
