Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao accused the Congress government of allowing alleged defence shell companies to operate in Hyderabad. He urged Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to order an immediate probe. He also called on central intelligence agencies to establish the facts.
In a post on X, KTR named three companies. He alleged that each had links to the families of Congress leaders. The companies were Tesseract, Raghava Aerospace and Aindri Defence. He linked Tesseract to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s family. Meanwhile, he linked Raghava Aerospace to Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s family.
KTR raised concerns about national security. He warned that these alleged shell companies could pose a serious risk if they supplied equipment or information to the defence sector. Therefore, he called for a comprehensive investigation into their operations.
Defence shell companies: KTR flags security risks
KTR warned about the possible consequences of the alleged activities. “If such companies supply equipment to the armed forces, may God protect the Indian armed forces,” he wrote. He also tagged Rajnath Singh in his post.
Furthermore, KTR urged central agencies to investigate the companies and uncover the facts. He questioned their operations and alleged links to Congress leaders’ families.
The latest allegations followed earlier controversies involving Tesseract’s land allotments. Disputes had also emerged over contracts linked to other companies. Against this backdrop, KTR renewed his demand for an investigation.
However, the claims about the companies’ status and their alleged political connections require independent verification. KTR argued that authorities should examine the matter because of its potential implications for national security.
